First?
vanilla
Also vanilla, followed by blends like cookies 'n cream. As a kid, I loved strawberry. So far, the best ice cream I've found is Tillamook ice cream. Any other recommendations?
Caramel sweets pls for me. I'd collect a year's worth of stuff I hardly eat 😀)
Talenti Belgian chocolate (technically gelato).
I'll take Moose Tracks! (vanilla ice cream, peanut butter cups and fudge!)

I just read that the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans has been canceled due to high winds. 😟
Mint chocolate chip!
Favorite ice cream? That's a tough one. I go to Niederfrank's Ice Cream in National City and see what they have in the cold case. Last time I was there I had a scoop each of Chocolate Mexicano and Kahlúa Crunch on a cake cone.
Damn. Now I want ice cream.
That sounds tasty @roddio!
Wegman's coconut almond fudge ice cream is my current favorite.
I get peanut butter ice cream, or a peanut butter ice cream milkshake when I can. Otherwise, mint chocolate chip or cookies and cream.
I have heard it said - by my ex - that under German law there is nothing you can do on Rosie Monday that can serve as grounds for divorce. (She lived in Heidelberg and is one who I suspect - or rather I know - has great practical expertise in such things.)

Is there (or was there) and foundation to that?
Ice cream has to be pretty high quality before I get into it. I'm more of a gelati person. That being said a good vanilla with more vanilla bean than sugar is highly prized. Mint choc chip and peanut butter choc chip...yum. I remember loving spumoni as a kid, but we have no spumoni in Australia. With gelati you can give me almost any fruit flavour and I am exceedingly happy!

Andrew and I just found a bar in Healesville that serves alcohol...and gelati! It was so funny the other day when we turned up at Happy Hour. All the tables were reserved, so we sat at the bar sharing a bowl of raspberry and coconut gelati while all the people sitting next to us were enjoying a beer!
hazelnut and chocolate gelato for me.
Ice cream is good. That is all.

I'm getting more and more reports that SMS service in the US is malfunctioning (sent but non-delivered SMS messages, errors trying to send SMS messages, etc.) which is lovely (that was sarcasm, it's not lovely, it sucks because this isn't some spam farm, it's mission critical stuff.)

Back to work after 4 day weekend. Surprisingly, I was able to dig out of all the emails and whatnot so not too painful.
Chocolate ice cream, caramel candies. That sounds nice @Muse
@Muse
When I was young, Baskin-Robbins had 33 flavors of ice cream, and my favorite was Pink Bubblegum, which had pieces of gum in it; I'd get it in a cup, and save those aside for last.

Nowadays? Just about anything without nuts or other sharp edges.
@That Harp Guy - We used to make up new - bad - flavors for Basket Robbers Ice Cream. We had things like Pickle Chip and Mayonnaise Ripple.

I miss the old Baskin Robbin's photos they had on their walls - they were of the area near Mammoth Lakes, California, where I spent a lot of time (and still visit fairly frequently.)

My favorite at B-R was a coffee (they called it "jamoca") malt with extra coffee syrup and extra malt - about 800 grams of sugar, 900 grams of fat, and a ghastly amount of caffeine.

You could market that one to people who are pregnant. 😀
Stephanie Izard won her decisive battle to become an Iron Chef making - among other elements - chicken liver ice cream.
@Christoph S Yes, childhood memories of those! Can happily live without though. ^^

Oh my that courts with male judges accept that drunk adultery in women is no reason for divorce is... otherworldly. I would expect male perpetrators to undergo blood tests and all that as well @Christoph S thanks for the link.

Moose Tracks sounds good! As does a good vanilla ice cream.

By the way, I heard Beignets are just flat donuts. While I cannot attest if true or not, I checked at the local Brammibal's, the only other donut chain stores we have other than Dunkin', Anyhow, the girl working there was cute but did not know what Beignets were.

So I bought these instead.

Those look yummy!
My experience with Beignets has been either large 15cm where I can eat one or smaller 8-9cm where I can eat several. Always covered in powdered sugar and can be quite messy. And they do not appeal to me if cooled. Hot or warm only.
I'm going to a music festival in a couple of weeks and my hotel is a block from a French bakery where I will have Beignets. Several times.
My preference starts with quality rather than particular flavour; there are also things such as chocolate chips and fudge lumps that I find don't present well at the temperatures ice cream does, so make the experience an exercise in over-compromise.
The only time I ever had Beignets was at Cafe du Monde, in the French Quarter of New Orleans. They were enjoyable. If I ever visit again I'm sure to have one there.

The best pastry I can remember eating is the "Butterhorn" at some now perhaps nonexistent diner in Yachats, OR. Or possibly Waldport. A bit south of Newport on the coast. It's been 45 years or so, can't really remember. These were not the crescent rolls sometimes called butterhorns, but a cinnamon roll with, you guessed it, a substantial amount of melted butter involved. Think of potatoes and gravy, except instead of the potatoes a cinnamon roll, and instead of the gravy, melted butter.
There's a beignet place near my mother's place in Las Vegas. I had no idea what they were - so I got some. Yum.
Beignets? I prefer Leonard's Malasadas in Honolulu.
@Carsten Raddatz I so love the box in which your donuts are presented! ❤
It's damn near midnight here, and now I want donuts. Thanks @Carsten Raddatz!
Should you ever make it to the Netherlands, a similar thing in the shape of fist-sized chunks is available as Olibollen. Inevitably you'll make a mess of your coat because powder sugar will go everywhere when you eat in on the go.

Cinnamonroll? I cannot help but think of this cute guy.

But @deanc yours sound attractive too!
